The Good Enough Friday

Image for: The Good Enough Friday

Not every week produces a highlight reel. Some weeks are just the work. The ordinary maintenance of a life — the emails, the errands, the conversations that needed to happen, the meals that got made, the sleep that finally came.

I’ve learned to have genuine respect for those weeks. The ones that don’t make for good stories but keep everything running. They’re not failure. They’re actually the foundation that makes the better weeks possible.

Here’s the question I ask on ordinary Fridays: what held today? Not what was exceptional — what held? What stayed standing? What relationships stayed intact? What commitments got kept? What quiet goodness happened that I almost didn’t notice?

When you look for what held, you find more than you expected. Go find it.

The weeks that don’t make for good stories are the foundation that makes the better weeks possible.

What held this week, even if nothing was exceptional?
