May the Fourth Be With You (And Also Monday)
Kris Evergreen here. Happy May the Fourth. And also: happy Monday, because the universe has an interesting sense of timing.
Look — there’s something genuinely useful in the idea behind today’s cultural moment, silly as the wordplay is. The Force, in the original sense, was never about power over others. It was about steadiness. Presence. The ability to stay grounded when everything around you is in chaos. To act from something centered rather than something reactive.
That’s actually a pretty good Monday philosophy. Not the dramatic, heroic version — the quiet version. The version where you just stay centered. You don’t get swept into the panic of the week before it starts. You start from a place of some steadiness and you let that carry you into the first hour, and then the next one.
The week is not your enemy. It’s just a week. Begin it steady.
Begin the week from something centered. Let that steadiness carry you forward.
What’s one thing that helps you feel grounded at the start of a busy week?
