Happy First Day of Spring

Today is the spring equinox. Day and night, in balance. Equal amounts of light and dark. And starting today, the light begins to win.

I find this genuinely moving every year. Not in a dramatic way — just quietly. The fact that the world does this. That after months of darkness arriving earlier and earlier, the light just starts coming back. Steadily. Without fanfare. A little more each day.

You can borrow that as a metaphor if you need one. Whatever has felt heavy or dim lately — today is the day the light starts gaining ground. It doesn’t happen all at once. But the direction has changed.

Happy first day of spring. Go outside for five minutes today if you can. Feel the light. It’s coming back, and it belongs to you too.
