One week left in June. Which means this is the last Thursday Hidden Win Inventory of the month. Pull up a chair. Get a pen if you have one nearby. This one is worth doing properly.

June gave you: Pride Month and World Oceans Day and Juneteenth and Father’s Day and the summer solstice. It gave you the longest day of the year and the turning after it. It gave you heat and long light and at least one evening where the sky stayed beautiful for longer than felt strictly fair.

It also gave you ordinary Tuesdays and Wednesdays that required the same things they always require. The showing up. The small reliabilities. The moments of choosing kindness when something easier was available.
