Tuesday. And I want to celebrate something today that gets zero recognition: the private streak.

Somewhere in your life, there’s a streak going that nobody knows about. Maybe you’ve made your bed every morning for months. Maybe you’ve called your mom every Sunday. Maybe you haven’t missed a walk, or a journal entry, or a pill, or a small daily kindness in longer than you can remember. Nobody’s tracking it. There’s no app celebrating it. It just quietly continues because you continue it.

Those private streaks are some of the most honest things about a person. Public consistency has an audience helping it along. Private consistency has nothing but you, keeping a promise no one would notice you breaking.
