It’s the second day of a new month, which is a good moment to check in on what you brought over from the last one.

We’re all carrying things. Some of them we chose to pick up. Some of them got handed to us. Some of them we picked up so long ago we’ve forgotten they’re there — they just feel like weight now, a familiar heaviness we’ve stopped questioning.

Thursday is usually the day I ask about hidden wins. But today I want to ask the other side: what are you still carrying that you don’t actually need anymore? An old frustration. A version of yourself you’ve already moved past. A standard you’re holding yourself to that doesn’t fit who you are right now.

You don’t have to set it all down today. Just notice what’s there. Sometimes naming the weight is the first step toward deciding whether it comes with you into April.

You get to choose what comes with you into the new month.
