The Week That Ran Long
Some weeks run long before they’re over. You get to Thursday and the week feels like it’s already been two weeks, and Friday seems both very close and somehow still far. The tank is lower than it should be for Thursday.
If that’s where you are today: the Hidden Win Inventory is especially important when the tank is low. Because a depleted Thursday has a particular habit of telling you nothing went right, nothing worked, nothing was enough. That voice is louder when you’re tired and it is less accurate when you’re tired. The list of what actually got done is always longer than the voice suggests.
Get a pen. Write the week down. Not what’s left — what’s been done. Correct the accounting before Friday arrives and you carry a false deficit into the weekend.
The depleted Thursday voice is louder than usual and less accurate than usual. Check the actual accounting.
What’s one real thing you’ve accomplished this week that the tired part of your brain isn’t crediting you for?
