Kris Evergreen here. The last Monday of July. Which means we’re closing in on August, the back half of summer, the slow turn toward fall that’s still a ways off but no longer unimaginable.

Last Mondays of a month are good for a quick stocktake. Not a heavy one — just a glance back. What did July give you? What did you make of it? And what do you want to carry into the month ahead?

You’ve made it through nearly seven months of 2026 now. Twenty-some Mondays. Twenty-some fresh starts. Each one a small chance to begin again, and you’ve taken every one of them, whether it felt like it or not. That’s a quiet kind of perseverance worth acknowledging.

Begin this final week of July with a little intention. Then carry whatever’s good about it into August. Go easy out there.
