The Halfway Point
Today is June 17th, which puts us exactly at the midpoint of June — and close enough to the midpoint of the year that it’s worth pausing on. Wednesday is always the midpoint of the week. Today we’re at the midpoint of the month and the midpoint of the year, all at once.
That’s a lot of middles for a Wednesday. Which is actually pretty on-brand for Wednesday.
Here’s what I’ve learned about midpoints: they’re the place from which you can see both ends clearly. You can see where you started. You can see roughly where you’re headed. The beginning and the end are both visible from the middle in a way that’s impossible when you’re at either one of them.
Use that visibility today. What do you see from here? What do you want the second half to look like?
The middle is where you can see both ends. Use that visibility.
What’s one thing you want the second half of your year to have that the first half didn’t?
