The First Check-In of Fall’s Doorstep
Wednesday. The first midweek of September, and the check-in matters extra during a gear-shift.
Transitions are quietly demanding. Even good ones — even ones you’re looking forward to — ask something of you. The schedule tightening, the season turning, the general reorganization of life that September brings: all of it draws from the same energy account as everything else. If you’ve felt a little more tired than the calendar seems to justify lately, this is probably why.
So today, three questions, asked with extra honesty. How am I actually doing with the shift? What do I need as the pace picks up — more sleep, more margin, more saying no? And what can I set down — because September has a way of piling new commitments on top of old ones without ever clearing the stack.
Wind the clock. The season is asking more of you. Make sure you’re giving some back to yourself.
