The Hidden Win Inventory

It’s Thursday, which means I’m going to ask you to do something your brain does not naturally want to do.

Grab a piece of paper — this works better on paper, I don’t know why, but it does — and write down everything you’ve accomplished this week. Not just the big things. Everything. The email you finally sent. The conversation you’d been avoiding. The morning you made yourself breakfast instead of skipping it. The thing that went sideways that you handled anyway.

Your brain keeps a selective ledger. It tracks problems, risks, failures, and what’s still undone. It does not naturally track wins. That’s not weakness — that’s just the wiring. But you can override the default with a little deliberate attention.

You’ve done more than you think this week. You always have. Let’s fix the accounting.

Count what’s right. Your brain will count what’s wrong on its own.

What’s one win from this week you haven’t given yourself credit for yet?
