The Week Is Done. Let It Be Done.
This is the part where I give you permission to close things.
Whatever this week was — productive, difficult, surprising, exhausting, or some combination of all four — it’s done now. And the temptation is to carry the unfinished parts of it right into the weekend, like luggage you’re not sure you need but feel nervous leaving behind.
Leave the luggage. You can pick it back up Monday if you need it. Right now, for this Friday evening, let things be complete. Even the incomplete things can be set down temporarily.
If it helps: set a timer for five minutes, clear a surface, give your environment a small gesture of closure. External order helps internal order. Then close the laptop. Change something. Give yourself the signal that this chapter is done.
The week is complete. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be done.
What’s one thing from this week you’re consciously choosing to leave here?
