The long weekend is over, and here we are: Tuesday after a holiday Monday, which has all the energy of a Monday but with less time before Friday to make up for the fact that it started late.

Here’s what I know about this particular Tuesday: the week is short, which can feel like pressure, but pressure is optional. The week is short — you could also read that as: three and a half days, which is actually a very manageable amount of time to get a reasonable number of things done.

Don’t let the compressed calendar make you frantic. Do the next thing. The right-size version of the next thing. Keep the promises that matter. Let the rest wait until next week if it needs to.
