The Last Full Friday of July

Friday. And we’re heading into the home stretch of July — one more week and the month turns over. There’s something about the last full Friday of a summer month that makes me want to take stock before it slips away.

Summer goes fast. Faster than any other season, I’m convinced. The long days create an illusion of abundance, and then suddenly you look up and it’s nearly August and you’re wondering where July went.

So before this week closes: have you done the summer things you wanted to do? Not in a pressured, checklist way — just an honest check. The evening walks, the cookout, the lake, the long book, the time with the people you only really see this time of year. There’s still summer left. But it’s worth being intentional with what remains.

Close the week gently. And maybe make a small plan for one good summer thing this weekend.

Summer creates an illusion of abundance, then suddenly it’s nearly gone. Be intentional with what’s left.

What’s one summer thing you still want to do before the season slips away?
