The September Inventory
Tuesday. The next-to-last day of September, and time for the month’s full inventory — a day early, because tomorrow deserves its own send-off.
September asked more of you than the summer months did. Be honest about that first: the gear-shift, the schedule, the reentry — it was work. And you did it. The routines re-formed. The snowglobe settled. Somewhere in the last four weeks, fall stopped being a transition and became just your life again.
Now count the rest. The September Reset — did you slot the one thing in? The fifteen-minute rule — how many hours did it quietly bank? The soup made, the repairs done, the sweaters retrieved, the neighbors greeted, the light spent on purpose. And the releases too, per the trees: what you let fall because it couldn’t come with you into the new season.
A month of turning, navigated. That’s the win. Write it down.
Somewhere in the last four weeks, fall stopped being a transition and became just your life. That’s the win.
What’s the September win you’re most quietly proud of?
